"I have spent  years targeting these fish in our local waters. I held the igfa all tackle world record for this species until it was beaten by The frenchmen pictured to the right. He is a great angler and has very good fishing karma. I have caught as many as 42 on one trip and usually average more than 15 per outing. It is fun fishing with lots of explosive topwater strikes and hard runs. Not too mention that we normally catch plenty of other species. You have to love south florida--the melting pot of fishing--with all of our native and non native species, many people consider where we live to be the most exciting freshwater destinations in the united states and one of the best in world.  Many people that try fishing for these return again and again."
